Forecasts are typically updated by the NJ DEP after 10:00 AM.
Today: Air Quality Action Day for PM2.5. Unhealthy levels due to a dense plume of Canadian wildfire smoke. Limit strenuous outdoor activities, especially in the evening. Ozone levels remain in the Moderate category.
Tomorrow: Action Day continues. A low pressure system with potential rain/thunderstorms will gradually push smoke north, slightly improving air quality to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG).
Sunday & Monday: Improving to Moderate on Sunday, then dropping back to the Good category statewide by Monday as southerly winds and high pressure take over.
